First Lady of the USA, Melania Trump, took to the podium in the White House two days ago to hold a press conference regarding Epstein and Maxwell, claiming she was “never involved in any capacity with Epstein”. The day before, Amanda Ungaro, made several threats to Melania on X and former Attorney General Pam Bondi.

News agencies such as Sky News reported “Melania Trump surprise White House address: Here’s what we know”, BBC asking “Why is Melania Trump speaking out about Epstein now?” and The Independent stating “Media pundits left stunned over Melania’s random Epstein press conference”. But is it really out of the blue? How rogue is this?

Due to the fact that that her husband, Donald Trump, said “Americans should move on from the Epstein files” in February 2026, “they’re asking me questions about Jeffrey Epstein. I thought that was finished.” in December 2025 and going so far in July 2025 as to say “It was a hoax. It’s all been a big hoax. It’s perpetrated by the Democrats and some stupid Republicans and foolish Republicans fall into the net. And so they try and do the Democrats work. The Democrats are good for nothing other than these hoaxes,”. It is pretty clear to see that the media and the public are being presented with incongruence concerning Donald and Melania. On one hand is him and the sweeping-under-the-rug stance on the Epstein files, compared to his wife and in stark contrast, who has now directly spoken on the issue he claims is a hoax.

Consider the fact that Melania’s advisor appeared on Fox News, when asked what led her to make the statement, Marc Beckman told Fox and Friends: “To be honest, it’s a combination of legacy media, social media, different corporate entities, and personalities. But we as a society need to get back to respect, our First Lady deserves respect when she’s working every single day for the Americans.”, as well as the President who stated he didn’t “know anything about” Melania’s speech on Thursday. According to the BBC, “Not even those most plugged into the administration had any forewarning of the topic, according to officials.”. So, Trump didn’t know, neither did his administration or top White House officials. What she and her advisor Marc have in common when discussing this topic is the word ‘respect’, a big takeaway.

From Melania’s point of view, is the reason she spoke of Epstein and Maxwell so directly because Trump has failed in confronting it? Did she do this out of purely self-preservation reasons only? Does she feel she had to discuss in order to get ahead of things incoming? Or is the reason Amanda Ungaro?

Amanda Ungaro is a Brazilian model who dated Paolo Zampolli, one of Trump’s allies, Special Envoy for the President and yep, you guessed it – he owned a modelling agency that signed Melania Trump. Zampolli is also included in the Epstein files (below). Amanda was seated on the First Lady’s table during Trump’s first inaugural ball. Melania claims that Zampolli was the man who introduced her to her now husband, Donald. It is safe to say the couples are friends. According to The New York Times, Amanda held a diplomatic role in the UN as an Ambassador.

Amanda’s name might be familiar to you due to the NYT article from March 2026, “Trump Friend Asked ICE to Detain the Mother of His Child” – an evil and abhorrent way to treat the mother of your child and partner of 19 years, she was detained by ICE during a custody battle and deported. Amanda has now reported her child as officially stolen by the father, Paolo Zampolli. You can read Amanda’s description of this here.

Below are some photos of the couples together from differing occasions. Judging by the many photographs from over the past few years, it is clear to see there was a friendly relationship between Paolo and Amanda & Donald and Melania.

Ungaro has made it known that she is a woman with nothing left to loose. Quite extraordinarily, she has taken to X and has been writing multiple posts about Melania and Pam Bondi, essentially threatening to release information she has on the First Lady and Trump’s administration.

Amanda’s Statements

Amanda Ungaro has threatened Melania Trump stating she will “tear down your corrupt system, even if it’s the last thing I do in my life” and to be afraid of what she knows. Amanda asserted that she will take legal action against “you and your paedophile husband” referring to Donald Trump. She continued, “I have known you for 20 years. You knew I was detained in ICE. You were present in my life – every year on my son’s birthday, even sending Secret Service and being the first to congratulate him, back in 2016.”.

Melania has publicly denied any links to Epstein and Maxwell, despite documents in the Epstein Files released by the FBI include emails from Melania to Ghislaine Maxwell in discussion of Jeffrey Epstein, whom they refer to as ‘JE’ (below).

In Ungaro’s statements made on X the day before Melania’s statement, it has received vast amounts of attention online due to Melania’s somewhat rare appearance in her White House address to the nation, a few hours later. During Melania’s speech, which you can read here, she firmly any denied affiliation with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell whilst referring to her emails to and from Maxwell.
