Travelling is my favourite things to do. My boyfriend and I travelled to 5 countries, 7 cities within Europe during the Summer of 2023 for three weeks. Every day was somewhere new neither of us had been before, seeing things we had never seen. We visited Stockholm – Sweden, Gdansk – Poland, Treviso, Venice & Milan – Italy, Amsterdam – The Netherlands and Lille in France.

I have always loved to travel. In 2017, I took my first long-haul flight by myself to meet my friends in LA. We travelled the USA for 3 weeks, visiting Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York.

I got the bug for travelling and since distance wasn’t really an issue for me now, considering I had flown by myself before, in 2019, I took my first solo long-distance holiday to visit family in Canada. I visited Vancouver, Calgary and Banff. It was during winter time, so it looked like a winter wonderland. Frozen waterfalls, icicles, inches of thick snow, nothing like I had ever seen even during the most harshest winters in the North of England, where I live.

I had experienced the cold and snow, so visiting Marrakesh in Morocco, North Africa during December 2024 as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday was probably the best holiday I’ve ever been on.

Even in December, Morocco was over 30 degrees. As a northerner who had never experienced a December that wasn’t anything other than cold and dark, I fell in love with December in Northern Africa – it was so bright, colourful, absolutely roasting hot. We rode quad bikes and camels through the Agafay Desert, visited an argan oil cooperative run by women and experienced live entertainment every night. We ate traditional Moroccan cuisines, spent hours strolling around souks and wondering around the gorgeous buildings and landmarks… I already can’t wait to go back to Morocco.
