ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Megan, BA (hons) Law & BA (hons) Politics

Welcome to the place where I pour all of my thoughts.

I created this website in 2020 – over 6 years ago now, whilst studying my two bachelors degrees in law and politics at university.

The blog primarily explores a variety of complex and in-depth topics, such as legal, governmental and political issues in the U.K. and the rest of the world. The blog mainly analyses socio-political and socio-legal issues. Due to my obsession with reading and investigative journalism, my articles often tend to be long-reads. From travelling, book recommendations, cooking recipes, going to the gym, to fashion and trying new restaurants, the blog covers all aspects of lifestyle. All thoughts are my own and not that of AI.

In this fast-paced world we live in, mainstream media platforms we are exposed to are often too brief whilst presenting the stories that really matter. I prefer informative and educational in-depth information over all, providing facts, evidence and background information, alongside a little cheeky commentary. The majority of analysis is taken from legal documents and evidence-based information such as committee hearings, conference proceedings, academic journals, books, journalistic research and news reports. As I always say, I’m Russian, Scouse and Irish – it’s almost as if I was born to rage against the machine.

Voice Archive, our online shop, will be launching soon. The collection includes hand-embellished interior decorations and wearable art, due to my life-long magpie-like obsession with embellishment. An outfit isn’t really an outfit until you include a statement piece.

  • MP’s pass draconian laws restricting protest rights
The Crime and Policing Bill and Courts and Tribunals Bill are criticised for continuing a trend of restricting protest rights, redefining peaceful demonstration as a state-granted privilege rather than a fundamental right. I spoke with Councillor Chantelle Lunt, who warns that these legislative changes weaponise police power against marginalised communities and erode accountability by removing the right to jury trials.
  • Echoes of the Mersey: Why the 2026 Irish Response Feels Like 1911.
This article draws parallels between the 1911 Liverpool general transport strike, suppressed by Winston Churchill’s gunboats, and the 2026 Irish protests, arguing that state responses to working-class unrest have not evolved despite technological progress. Through a personal lens, I examine the persistent, century-long use of military force against industrial action from the Mersey to Whitegate.
  • US appearing to intimidate Pope Leo
Reports suggest a tense January 2026 meeting where U.S. officials allegedly referenced the Avignon papacy while warning Cardinal Christophe Pierre, reflecting a deep divide between the Trump administration and Pope Leo XIV. Amid this confrontation and public criticism from President Trump, the Pope cancelled a planned U.S. visit to focus on international peace, framing the conflict as a modern struggle between secular and spiritual power.
  • Melania’s ties to Epstein takes another turn, enter Marina Lacerda
This article analyzes Melania Trump’s unexpected 2026 press conference as a preemptive move to address emerging allegations from former models Amanda Ungaro and Marina Lacerda.
  • Melania’s bizarre speech out of the blue? Not to Amanda Ungaro.
2 days ago, Melania Trump delivered an unscheduled address from the White House, categorically denying any involvement with Jeffrey Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell to combat “lies and innuendos”. The surprise speech, which reportedly caught White House officials off guard, coincided with public threats from Amanda Ungaro, a former partner of Trump ally Paolo Zampolli, who alleged a personal betrayal. Media outlets characterized the move as a desperate attempt to address both the renewed scrutiny of the Epstein scandal and Ungaro’s promises to expose information.
